Butler Hometown Pharmacy located at 11 S Orange ST (across from Sams Broasted Chicken and one block N. of Koehn Bakery) originally was operating as Hess Pharmacy. Phil and Margaret Hess sold their pharmacy to Carthage Pharmacy Services, Inc. on the Butler square in 2003. Hess Pharmacy continued operation at this location until March 2005, HomeTown Pharmacy was erected and the name was changed to HomeTown Pharmacy of Butler. This new location provided for better traffic conditions as well as better visibility and a convenient drive through.
